Deliverables
Brand voice, packaging copy, campaign lines
Most coffee brands describe the beans. daybreak describes the morning. It’s a self-initiated brand voice for the snoozers, the slow starters and the first-sip philosophers: the people actually holding the cup.
01 / Our part
Brand voice, naming & packaging copy
What landed on our desk:
Brand voice guide & tone pillars
Blend naming for three coffees
Front-of-pack & side-panel copy
Campaign lines & social bios
Café menu board copy
02 / The snag
Speciality coffee packaging reads like a wine list: notes of stone fruit, perfectly roasted, ethically sourced. All true. All identical. daybreak needed a personality you could spot from across the supermarket aisle, half asleep.
03 / The big idea
We started with the person, not the product. The voice is warm, a little sleepy and quietly witty, built around slow starts and second alarms. Blend names, front-of-pack lines and side panels all talk about the ritual, not the roast.
The usual
Premium coffee. Perfectly roasted.
The Texty take
For the love of five more minutes.
04 / The happy ending
A voice guide, three named blends with full packaging copy and a campaign line with legs: for the love of five more minutes. Familiar enough to trust at 7am, funny enough to remember by 9.
