Website copy, messaging strategy, product descriptions
Skincare websites love a long word and a longer ingredients list. bare / basics is a self-initiated concept for a brand that does the opposite: three products, explained by a friend who happens to know things. Every page trades science-speak for reassurance.
01 / Our part
Messaging strategy, website & product copy
What landed on our desk:
Homepage messaging & hero lines
Value proposition & positioning
Product page copy for six products
Ingredient glossary in plain English
Buttons, microcopy & checkout nudges
02 / The snag
Acids. Actives. Twelve-step routines and anxious promises. Shoppers arrive confused and leave with fourteen tabs open and nothing in their bag. The site had to explain what each product does, who it’s for and why three steps are plenty, without a single lab coat.
03 / The big idea
Every page answers three questions: what is it, what does it do, and why is it for you? Headlines lead with feelings, product pages lead with benefits, and every ingredient claim is translated into words you’d actually say out loud.
The usual
Advanced multi-active formulations for optimal dermal renewal.
The Texty take
Your skin. No filter. No fuss.
04 / The happy ending
A calm, confident voice from homepage to checkout: a hero that gets to the point, product pages you can read in under a minute, and microcopy that never panics. Fewer tabs. Better skin days.
